A SHOPPING mall can’t switch off its Christmas lights because the firm which put them up has gone bust.
Giant trees and festive decorations are still in place five days after they should have been taken down.
Bosses are unable to remove them because of Health and Safety rules.

Shoppers at The Arndale Centre in Eastbourne were bemused to find the Christmas decorations were still up
They are plugged into the same electricity circuit as the main lights at The Arndale Centre in Eastbourne, East Sussex.
Bemused shopper Samantha Hendy said: “I couldn’t believe it. I went in to get some January bargains and I had a double take.”
The mum-of-two, of Seaford, added: “It’s like it’s still Christmas in there. I wonder how long they will stay up.
Centre manager Bill Plumridge said the Christmas decorations company it used went into administration on December 23.
They had planned to take them down before the Twelfth Night which was last Friday.
He said: “This left us to find another company to remove the decorations.
“We, of course, had to fit in with their busy schedule, meaning that they will come down within the next couple of days.
“The lights in the trees outside should by now have been switched off.”
